How to Cancel an Order
Step 1: Navigate to the Request Cancellation Page
To submit a cancellation request, navigate to the Request Cancellation page on your My Account page. You can access your My Account page by clicking on the "My Account" link at the top of any Amazon page.
Step 2: Select the Reason for Cancellation
Once you are on the Request Cancellation page, you will need to select a reason for cancellation. The most common reasons for cancellation are:
- I ordered the wrong item
- I found a better price elsewhere
- I changed my mind
- The item is out of stock
- The item is damaged
If you do not see your reason for cancellation listed, you can select "Other" and provide a brief explanation.
Step 3: Submit Your Request
Once you have selected a reason for cancellation, click on the "Submit Request" button. Amazon will then process your request and send you a confirmation email.
What Happens After You Submit a Cancellation Request?
After you submit a cancellation request, Amazon will review your request and send you a confirmation email. If your request is approved, Amazon will cancel your order and refund your money. If your request is not approved, Amazon will provide you with a reason for the denial.
Tips for Cancelling an Order
