Jayson Tatum has signed a four-year, $300 million contract extension with the Boston Celtics, the team announced on Friday.

The deal includes $300 million guaranteed and an average annual salary of $75 million. Tatum is making 74 percent more than he did in 2022-23, when he earned $43 million.

Tatum is now the 37th best-paid player in the NBA, according to Spotrac. He is behind only Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Joel Embiid, and Nikola Jokic in terms of average annual salary.

The Celtics star signed a max five-year, $163 million deal with the team at the end of his rookie contract.

Tatum will earn a base salary worth $32.6 million while carrying a cap hit and dead cap value of $32.6 million for the 2023-24 season.
