The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) has announced a full closure of eastbound and westbound I-435 in Johnson County, Kansas, from Quivira Road to Antioch Road. The closure will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 25, and is expected to last until 6:00 a.m. on Monday, August 28.

The closure is necessary for the demolition of a bridge over I-435 near the I-435 and US-69 interchange. During the closure, all traffic on I-435 will be detoured to local roads. Motorists are advised to allow extra time for travel and to seek alternate routes.
