London, England - Chelsea FC has completed the signing of Spanish left-back Marc Cucurella from Brighton & Hove Albion for a reported fee of £62 million.
The 25-year-old defender has joined the Blues on a six-year contract and will wear the number 3 jersey. Cucurella is Chelsea's third major signing of the summer transfer window, following the arrivals of Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly.
Cucurella is a versatile player who can operate both as a left-back and a left wing-back. He is known for his attacking abilities and his ability to create chances for his teammates. He made 38 appearances for Brighton in all competitions last season, scoring one goal and providing five assists.
